The Chapel of Holy Wisdom is open for everyone on weekdays for prayer and retreat. Services regularly from Monday to Friday at 8.30 a.m (Matins) and 5 p.m. (Vespers). On Tuesdays Jesus Prayer at 6 p.m. On Thursdays Akathis to Mother of God at 7.30 p.m.
There are also frequently other services in addition to the regular services mentioned above. A complete list of the services in the chapel is in the service schedule (available only in Finnish).
SOFIA-Wisdom The Greek word Sofia means wisdom. That word appears in many Finnish loan words, for example philosophy, "love towards wisdom". In the ecclestical point of view it refers to Christ who turned into a man.
Church of Wisdom Hagia Sophia in Istanbul is of the greatest churches in Christendom. It was built in Byzantine capitol of Constantinople in 500. After the Turks invaded the city in 1453 the church was turned into an Islamic mosque. Nowadays it is a museum. Sofia also means a female saint. Sofia the Martyr lived during the early church in 100.

Quest for Wisdom A man can find sofia, wisdom by questioning or researching things. There is the possibility of growth in everyone. The Cultural Centre Sofia offers signs and paths towards wisdom.
At Sofia seminars, conferences, events and other happenings things are discussed in the spirit of trust. Ethical pondering is part of humanity and a sign of high culture.
Retreat goes hand in had with wisdom. Through silence a man finds himself. Sofia gives you time to be in silence. Sofia's own chapel also serves this purpose.
